Clinical Coordinator

Shirley has been committed to Surgery on Sunday since its inception and considers it a privilege to be a part of Dr. Andrew Moore’s vision and mission. She was officially named Clinical Director of Surgery on Sunday in 2011. Shirely is a Doctor of Nursing and hails from the Sandhills of Nebraska. Her doctoral studies at Frontier Nursing University focused on delivery of healthcare to the underserved, specifically Rural Americans.

Volunteer Coordinator

Kim has been a volunteer for Surgery on Sunday for the past 5 years and assumed the volunteer position of Volunteer Coordinator in late 2014. She is responsible for scheduling volunteers for surgery days, delegating assignments for non-clinical volunteer staff and ensures that volunteer information is complete and accurate. Kim has a passion for Surgery on Sunday and the ability to help others. A native of Pittsburgh, she has been employed by Toyota Motor Manufacturing for the past 27 years. Kim resides in Georgetown with her husband Dave.

Interpreter Coordinator (Volunteer Coordinator)

Tony Reyes was named Interpreter Coordinator in September of 2015. Tony has been the lead medical interpreter for Surgery on Sunday since inception in 2005. In addition to surgery days, he assists with pre-operative calls and appointment confirmations with surgeons. Tony is responsible for ensuring qualified medical interpreters are on the bedside with patients during surgery days to ensure terminology and understanding is communicated properly to the medical providers and patients.
